Run to End World Hunger

The Nike Human Race 10K Run took place on October 24th in Beruit. More than 35 cities joined together for many different causes. The runners individually donated their registration fees to the association or the cause of their choice. No winners, no losers; everyone ran for a cause.

100 Global Citizen Corps leaders participated in this long day; we started with lunch since all of them were coming from distant locations. Later we moved to downtown Beirut near the starting point of the race. Our cause was to “END WORLD HUNGER” and BE THE CHANGE as part of Mercy Corps. The race brought together Lebanese and Palestinian youth and the cause joined them all. The students had many activities and we started with a role play to personalize many different situations of hunger in our country and later on we have carried out 2 main activities: the first one was a drawing and painting a big banner and the second was Drawing of END WORLD HUNGER with their bodies.
